During that time, we have built up a fine-tuned customer service system, ranging from sale of safe, quality bicycles reflecting current trends, to after-sales service. For 76 years we have supplied products needed by customers all over the world, from one small bicycle screw to used motorcycles. Global Market Information

Since our founding in 1944, we have cultivated an export and sales network for sports bicycles and parts to cater to markets outside Japan. Through that network, we obtain early information on overseas markets, and exploit that in product rollout and marketing for Japan, always keeping an eye out for future trends.
With a sales network extending to over 40 countries of the world, we always have our antenna tuned to demand from each country. We consider our mission to be the creation of new demand in each market, together with our customers. Every day we pioneer new merchandise and engage in marketing with our customers and suppliers.

Sound Quality Assurance and Control System

We ensure customer safety and security through our AKIBO QC Center in the Port of Osaka. Here, we are making ceaseless and uncompromising efforts such as consistent quality control of products starting from the manufacturing process in factories outside Japan, responding to quality problems of customers inside Japan, and providing feedback to manufacturers overseas.

Responding to a Wide Range of Needs for Sports Bicycles

We mainly handle DAHON, Tern, Colnago, Fuji, and Breezer as fully-assembled bicycle brands, but our extensive lineup also includes e-bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, hybrid bikes, folding bikes, minivelo bikes, and kids' bikes. We respond precisely to needs in a wide range of user segments while offering a diverse variety of accessories for each brand.

Original Product Development

Our product development team, including Kitt Design®, independently plans new products based on each brand concept. We work out product proposals with a clear understanding of current trends, from both Japanese and global marketing perspectives, and offer new, original AKIBO products. The world of AKIBO is expanding beyond brand concepts.
Against the backdrop of our long and friendly relationship with DAHON, we have acquired a license to the DAHON brand. Going forward, we will do things only AKIBO can do, and offer products only AKIBO can offer, based on DAHON's technology and brand concept.

Promotional Efforts to Highlight Our Value

Naturally, we have an annual exhibition of new models for our business partners. We also conduct sales promotion campaigns, exhibit at cycle events held all over Japan, and provide equipment support to candidates who may appear in the Olympics or Paralympics, professional teams, and young cyclists active in Asia. We disseminate information on these activities through social media and other channels, and thereby directly highlight the value of our brand, and the products themselves, to dealers and customers.
